how to make a pcb at home|| pcb etching
EASIEST METHOD OF PCB ETCHING.
Materials
in use:-
2. full copper PCB.
3. Photo paper or butter paper (circuit printed on it).
4. paper tape or masking tape. (buy here)
5. 2x bowl or deep tray (only made by plastic, not metal).
6. clothing iron.
7. PCB cleaner or nail polish remover.
8. steel wool or brass wool as shown below.
9. permanent marker. (buy here)
10. water.
11. safety gloves.
12. cotton or tissue or waste cloth.
13. PCB drill with 1mm drill bit.
14. laser jet printer (not to buy, just need to print circuit).
15. scissor, hexa blade, etc.

In this process we have used ferric
chloride for etching.
STEPS:
· First print circuit design on a photo paper using ONLY LASER JET PRINTER. (demo circuit design pdf given on blogger). It is a working design, not waste.
· Take one sided copper pcb and clean it with steel wool.
· Cut pcb as needed as shown.
· Align circuit design on pcb & secure with masking tape(no plastic tape used).
· Set clothing iron on full heat and press pcb upto 10 minutes & let it cool down.
· Wash in normal water to remove masking tape and photo paper (do it gentally. Don’t rub hard).
· Now your design is traced on pcb. Fill non traced marks with a permanent marker.
· Take a plastic bowl or tray (no metal should be used). Pour ferric chloride in it (no measurement needed). Then to start reaction pour a little amount of water.
· Put pcb in it for 5 to 10 minutes, sun exposer needed. and you will see that exposed copper is burned and traced path remains as it is.
· Remove pcb out from chemical and wash it with water & also clean it with cotton or tissue, etc. and PCB cleaner or nail polish remover.· Now, drill holes In it and you are done.
